The Shallow Graves – Those Hollow Eyes

THE SHALLOW GRAVES was founded in 2005 with the desire to show the world that classic gothic rock with a british character has not been buried, yet. On account of the blatant lack of the music of this style in the current gothic scene the singer J. SHALLOW (ex-Velinas) was urged on venturing into the arisen vacuum and create songs between tradition and modernity. It did not take long until he found support by his songwriter and guitarist C. MORIBUND (ex-Madre Del Vizio, Jessica’s Ascension, Moribund Thirteen A.D.). The trio was completed by S. SHALLOW. In 2006 THE SHALLOW GRAVES recorded an authentic sound document at Vault 13, the studio of the band Madre Del Vizio. There arose songs steeped in a dense atmosphere of a symbiosis of drifting drum machine rhythms, a driving bass and wistful guitar melodies, which are sublimated by a charismatic and dark voice.
